Before class:

“Sir (or Ma’am), I will practice with tradition in the spirit of the martial arts, with courtesy for fellow students, loyalty for my instructors, and respect for my juniors and seniors, Sir! (or Ma’am)”

After class:

“Sir (or Ma’am), I shall live with perseverance in the spirit of the martial arts, having honor with others, integrity within myself, and self-control of my actions, Sir! (or Ma’am)”
